One of the questions I get asked most often is what dental products should I be using? Which toothpaste? Which toothbrush? Which whitening products should I be using? I’m going to share a couple of my recommendations today. And the best part is you can pick up any of these products in my office.
My most favorite toothpaste in the world is Opalescence – i’s a whitening toothpaste. It actually removes surface stains. You will see a big difference with this toothpaste even after you using it just for a few days. It comes in a regular and then also a sensitive. I have super sensitive teeth, so I definitely use the sensitive.
Another product that I really love is the Opalescence Go whitening trays. If you don’t already have custom trays and you want to do like a whitening strip that’s disposable and you can just throw away, this is a great option for you. They come in 10 trays in a little box that’s super easy to dispense. There’s an upper tray and lower tray. You put these on and just wear them for 30 to 45 minutes. Take them off and throw them away. You’ll really see some great whitening results if you use the toothpaste and the trays.
My most favorite toothbrush is the Oral-B IO. This is one of my most favorite brushes on the market and here’s why: All the pieces are magnetic, which means it doesn’t shake and vibrate quite as much as like the old school electric brushes do. It’s got a great screen. It has multiple settings. There’s a gum care setting, which is a little more gentle. There’s an advanced clean and a whitening setting, so it’s really just whatever you’re comfortable with. I personally use the gum care because it just feels a little better to me. The heads come in this nice round shape, which gives you a really nice overall clean. It also has a timer on it and there’s a little band around here that actually changes color depending on the pressure that you’re using. If you’re brushing too hard, it will actually turn red. And when you’re in the green zone, that means that you’re brushing at the appropriate force.
Another option is another Oral B toothbrush. This toothbrush is not quite as advanced as the other one and this is a little more basic model. It doesn’t have the same screen on it, but it still has all the same functions and it still has this really nice magnetic head. So it just doesn’t have these brush options. Both of these brushes you can pick up at our office and the best thing about all these products is they’re all dentist approved to help keep your smile healthy and bright and cavity free.
